The Top Seven Albums of 2014

It’s nearly the end of the year, and as usual, any idiot with a keyboard and a blog starts putting together end of year lists. This idiot is no different… it’s time for my annual top seven albums of the year!

Lights out at Murrayfield

You don’t see the Haka, you experience it…

Like many people, I have a bucket list of sorts; stuff I want to see or do before I finally kick the bucket and shuffle off this mortal coil. A lot of things are probably a bit too big for me to really do – I want to go see a live WrestleMania, a want to see a Superbowl, I want to see a Houston Astros game… and one of them? I ticked it off this weekend.

A nation decides

I sit here, at 6.30am, unable to sleep thanks to copious amounts of coffee, energy drink, Tunnock’s Teacakes and for once, political intrigue.

There’s not much to say that hasn’t been said by many, many people before. The Temperance Movement are insanely good on record, and even better on stage.

Remembering the Warrior

He was, and will forever be, The Ultimate Warrior.

When I was at school, one of the few happy memories I have from that time is talking wrestling. At that time, you were one of two things – A Hulkamaniac or a Warrior. Me? I was a Warrior. Continue reading “Remembering the Warrior”

Halestorm live in Glasgow

Halestorm return to Glasgow, this time in the larger O2 ABC venue, a step up from their previous headline show at The Garage just along the road. The Garage was sold out, and so was The ABC – a damn good sign of their growing popularity.
