Glasgow in 2014

It’s been a weird 12 months for my home town; started on somewhat of a low with the Clutha tragedy fallout, built up again with the Commonwealth Games and the run up to the Indy Referendum, and dipped back down again with the trouble after that, and the horror in George Square just in the past fortnight.

A nation decides

I sit here, at 6.30am, unable to sleep thanks to copious amounts of coffee, energy drink, Tunnock’s Teacakes and for once, political intrigue. My country, the land that I love, held an Independence Referendum yesterday.
